Use only the Orange County provided trash and recycle containers. Do not place plastic bags for pick up without being placed in the covered waste receptacle. Place them for pick up no earlier than 6:00 p.m., the night before and remove them from view by the evening of the day when they are picked up. Trash cans are to be stored out of sight.
Orange County pickup days for our community are:
- Trash – Tuesday
- Recyclables – Tuesday
- Yard Waste – Wednesday
Residents who need to dispose of large items that will not fit in the roll cart must send an email to Solid.Waste@ocfl.net (include your name, street address, contact information, and the item(s) that you want collected) or call the Solid Waste Hotline at 407-836-6601 to arrange for pickup.
- Large items include furniture, appliances, mattresses, automobile tires (limit 4), and rear-projection televisions.
- Limit large items to three cubic yards (about one small pickup truckload) per household per week.
- Large items should be placed at the curb no earlier than 6:00 p.m. the night before and no later than 6:00 a.m. on your scheduled collection day.
For additional information, visit the Orange County Water, Garbage and Reclining web site or the Orange County Residential Curbside Pickup web page.
Do you feel like the new trash and recycle containers are too large for you? Remember, Orange County is only picking up once a week now. If you would like smaller (more reasonable?) sized containers, you can request them from Orange County.
The large 90 gallon garbage and recycling roll carts can be exchanged for a smaller size which is 60 gallon roll cart containers. Garbage and Recycle roll cart exchanges can be arranged by calling the Solid Waste Hotline at 407-836-6601 or sending an email to Solid.Waste@ocfl.net. Roll cart size changes will incur a charge equivalent to the cost of a new cart.
