Irrigation System Maintenance

NOTE: On Sunday March 11, 2018 daylight savings time, all units with irrigation timers in their garage must switch back to two days a week watering Wednesday and Saturday for odd number address and Thursday and Sunday for even number addresses. This only applies to the attached townhomes on the front half of the property.  If you need assistance setting the irrigation time, please contact the  Wickham Park Landscaping Manager  .

If your irrigation timer is in your garage, you are responsible for providing proper irrigation for your lawn and planter areas. Failure to do so may result in legal action and replacement of sod or plants, by the HOA, with all costs billed to your account.

Helpful Information

In general, each watering zone uses approximately 200 gallons of reclaimed water every 10 minutes.  Using this estimate, you can approximate you estimated reclaimed water usage pre month.  The reclaimed water use listed as 1,000 gallon units (2K gal = 2,000 gallons used)  is part of your monthly Orange County water bill.  The base reclaimed water charge includes water usage up to 4,000 gallons (4K). You will not see an change in the reclaimed water use charge if your usage remains below 4K gallons.  Once your usage goes over 4K gallons, your reclaimed water bill will increase based upon water used.

If a sprinkler head is damaged or missing, the amount of water flowing dramatically increases.  You may have seem on occasion where a lawn sprinkler hear is shooting water possibly even up to 8 feet in the air.  They can be reported to the  Wickham Park Landscaping Manager.  One simple way is to take a picture of it and sent it to our  Wickham Park Landscaping Manager.

Often the lawn sprinklers are programmed to water during the late evening or very early morning hours.  This is normally the ideal time to water the lawn.  You may want to monitor your sprinkler system occasionally to verify you don’t have any broken sprinkler heads.  Getting these repaired often reduces your reclaimed water bill.  You may also what to review you water bills across several months.  This can be done online at:  http://www.ocfl.net/PayUtilities .  If you see a large increase in your reclaimed water use, this maybe due to broken sprinkler heads. The irrigation computer system, typically in your garage, can be set to run a zone manually for a few minutes.  This is the best way to check to see if the sprinkler heads are operating properly. If you need assistance with manual tests, you can again contact the  Wickham Park Landscaping Manager .

Finally, the best news is, all irrigation system sprinkler heads in the open public spaces are maintained by the association.  Again, contact our  Wickham Park Landscaping Manager or our Wickham Park Manager from Sentry Management for any assistance.
