Common area sidewalk pressure washing was completed within our community in March. All public sidewalks, curbs and storm drain covers were cleaned. Also, the mail box stations were cleaned. Private concrete walkways from the public sidewalk then towards the resident’s front door are the responsibility of the resident along with the concrete driveway aprons.
The power washing company, Mallard Systems, was going to power wash the private sidewalks for residents at an additional cost. Basically, the private concrete walkway extends from the public sidewalk towards the resident’s front door. The minimum number of residents needed for this service was not achieved. Thus, Mallard Systems will not be offering to clean private sidewalk ways of driveways. Residents requesting the cleaning from them will be notified that they will not be able to perform the requested cleaning.
Residents are still responsible to keep their private sidewalk ways and driveways clean of mold. Power washing is the best way to clean these areas. Power washers can be rented from local hardware stores and there are several private individuals offer cleaning for a fee.
